April is a Juris Doctor Candidate at the Lincoln Alexander School of Law (TMU) and joins Beaton Burke Young as their 2026 summer student. April has experience within the Ontario justice system through her previous work as a Legal Administrative Secretary at the Toronto Crown Attorney’s Office.
Before law school, April earned her B.Sc. (Hons.) in Forensic Science with a specialization in Law and Policing from Trent University. Her unique background in forensic inquiry, blended with her work at Elizabeth Fry Toronto and the Partner Assault Response Program, enables her to navigate complex family law dynamics with analytical precision and empathy.
At Beaton Burke Young, April assists lawyers with all aspects of their files, including legal research and drafting, client meetings, and court preparation. April is committed to providing compassionate, detail-orientated support to families navigating the complexities of family law.
